The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, a historical landmark in Miami-Dade, Florida. I toured this estate while traveling through Florida in January, 2010. It was built as a winter home for the wealthy American Industrialist, James Deering in 1916. Italian and French Renaissance influence this style by designer, Paul Chalfin. There are ten acres of surrounding gardens and thirty- four rooms inside, decorated with 15-19th century furnishings.
